Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science (FAC00065PO25)

University of South Carolina Upstate

The University of South Carolina Upstate is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach during the 2025-26 academic
year. This faculty position to teach on the Spartanburg and/or Greenville campus.

The selected candidate will teach a 4-4 load
that includes American National Government and upper-level courses in law and judicial politics with topics such as civil rights, liberties,
and the intersection of law, justice, and society. Ability to teach courses in public administration or public policy would be helpful, but
is not required.



Teaching modality includes in-person and online courses, either asynchronously or in a hybrid format. Therefore,
experience teaching online is beneficial.

Required Education & Experience: Ph.D. in Political Science is required by the start date of the appointment.
ABD candidates with a completion date by August 15, 2025, are welcome to apply. A successful background check is
