Description
This position is in person faculty for Social Science
Examples of Duties
Prepare course materials for a variety of associate-level political science courses
Instruct 15 credit hours of associate-level political courses per semester in various formats
Assess student performance in a variety of modalities
Communicate feed back to students regarding their performance
Maintain scheduled office hours to aid and advising to students
Submit grades and provide required documentation at end of each semester
Participate in professional development opportunities
Serve as a member of campus and division committees
Participate in scheduling of courses and selection of instructional resources
Engage in frequent and reliable verbal and written communication with campus personnel
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
The holder of this position may also assign, schedule, and monitor the work of others, and may provide guidance and assistance to fellow faculty and staff, but is not a direct supervisor.
Typical Qualifications
A Master’s Degree in Political Science from an institutional accredited college or university (PhD preferred)
