Adjunct Faculty – PPP Sophomore Year Politics and Power Block

Xavier University is seeking qualified candidates to join our pool of potential adjunct faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year. This posting is intended to collect applications for part-time, non-tenure-track position for an Adjunct Instructor in Philosophy, Politics and the Public.

Candidates must be dedicated to undergraduate teaching and demonstrate excellence in their field. The successful candidate will contribute to our commitment to excellence in teaching and student engagement.



Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis, and candidates may be contacted as teaching needs arise. Adjunct faculty contracts are issued on a semester-by-semester basis, depending on departmental needs and student enrollment.



Minimum Qualifications:
* 5 years’ experience in the field of politics and civic engagement, including but not limited to: legislative work; policy advocacy or fundraising; campaign work; nonprofit policy work, etc.
* A qualified candidate might hold in addition to the above a M.A. or Ph.D. in a field related to the above work.



Duties include:
* Teaching PPUB 210: Campaign, Politics and Media in the fall and PPUB 211: Public Policy Practice in the spring. Both courses are 3 credits and meet TR for 75-85 minutes each.
