Summary of Job Duties:
Teach in one
of the following subject areas as assigned: Anthropology, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Religion, Sociology.


This is a pool
position. Applicants will be contacted as positions become available. The position reports to the department head/program director/dean who
assigns responsibilities regarding student needs and course outcomes.


Qualifications:

Required Education
and/or Work Experience:
Qualifications of instructors teaching in the classroom for both lower and/or upper-level courses leading to an
associate or bachelor’s degree requires a master’s degree in the discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the
subject area. Courses leading to a master’s require a doctorate degree. Adjunct faculty with a clinical assignment must be prepared at the
level required by accreditation. Instructors in occupational and technical areas are generally required to have a minimum of an associate’s
degree and related work experience. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Prior teaching experience.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform
the job successfully, the following competencies are required for the essential functions of this position:

    of the relevant discipline.
  • Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries.
  • Ability to
    respond to needs of learners from a variety of educational backgrounds in a multicultural environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal
    relationships with students and colleagues.

fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. May possibly have contact with vendors, personnel from other agencies and institutions, and the

Special Job Dimensions: Work performed primarily in an office
setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The
employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed
vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 50 pounds. Routine
work schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional overtime and travel required
