Job Summary/Basic Function


Assistant
Professor of Political Science (Latin American Studies)
for Dickinson College to work at our Carlisle, PA loc. Occasional telecommuting
may be permitted in cases of inclement weather. Tenure-track position in comparative politics. The teaching load for the academic year is
five course equivalents including teach FLIC (Foreign Language Integration Credit) courses. Support the College’s interdisciplinary program
in Latin American, Latinx & Caribbean Studies. Create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body. Conduct
academic research in Latin America, including either conducting interviews or survey research and/or reading both primary and secondary
sources produced in the region.

Will undergo post-hire background checks.


Domestic travel to attend conferences and
international travel to conduct research should not exceed 60 days/yr.



Must have Ph.D. (ABD) in Political Science, Latin American
Studies, Government, or a related field.
