The Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University (NYU) invites applications
for a two-year Postdoctoral Associate position, beginning in July 2026. This position is designed for early-career scholars from sociology,
economics, political science, urban planning, public policy, or related fields who are pursuing innovative research on pressing social
issues.
Research Focus & Expectations
Postdoctoral Associates are encouraged to pursue their own research
agenda during the appointment. However, we will give priority to applicants who propose a collaborative research plan that aligns with the
interests of one or more faculty members in the Wagner School. We are particularly interested in scholars specializing in urban policy and
inequality. However, we welcome applications from scholars whose work broadly overlaps with the existing strengths of the faculty.
The salary is $62,500 annually.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have completed
all PhD requirements prior to the start date.
A strong record of high-quality research is required.
