Political Science [American Government] Course Reviewer
This part-time, remote role presents a unique
opportunity to fundamentally shape how Political science is taught within the LCMC – a national college consortium with 120+ Colleges
and 230,000+ Students.
We are hiring multiple qualified individuals to help develop Political Science courses for students
across the LCMC – this role also comes with the opportunity to teach these courses, should you wish to.
These shared virtual
classes are part of a new initiative, and will be growing quickly. Because of this growth this opportunity has the following

- The opportunity to rapidly expand the scale and impact of
the course over the next two academic year - The opportunity to help students from across the country build professional skills
and portfolios to match. - Depending on the success of the course, this role may lead to additional work in instruction and course
development.
Main deliverables:
- Review of Political Science course plan for one or more courses
- Support of the course development team on assessment design
- Thorough review of the course’s content and assessments
Our courses all share the following attributes:
- Fully virtual, asynchronous classes
- Projects over
exams where possible, to help students build a portfolio of work. - Frequent discussions and opportunities for
collaboration. - Strong acknowledgement of industry practices, to prepare students for employment.
- Free (open source)
or low-cost course materials.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
- A master’s degree or higher in
Political science or other relevant field - Specific experience with course topics in the course you wish to develop and/or
teach. - Experience as an educator – you’ve built and taught courses, preferably at the college level. You have a passion for
teaching and helping students learn. - Professional experience in the field strongly preferred
