
Central College
Central College seeks applicants for a nontenure-line lecturer of political science beginning August 2026. The successful applicant
should hold at least a master’s degree in political science (Ph.D. or ABD preferred) with a focus in American political institutions. Our
new colleague will join a dynamic and collaborative team of faculty committed to excellence in undergraduate education and collaborative
undergraduate research within a liberal arts setting.
The successful candidate will be broadly trained in American politics and
teach courses in American government (e.g., Congress, courts, presidency/bureaucracy, US foreign policy) as well as their area(s) of
expertise. Lecturers at Central College also advise and mentor students. There will also be opportunity to gain experience in assessing
programs as well as other service to the department and college.
