Position Summary
The Department of
Political Science at Indiana University-Bloomington invites applications for a full-time Tenure/Tenure-track Open Rank position in the field
of American Politics, beginning August of 2025. Our goal is to hire the strongest candidate available who is doing interesting and important
scholarship in this field and who can contribute to the Department’s mission and campus’s strengths in social sciences.
Candidates
should demonstrate active research agendas with the promise for publication in high-quality venues and strong teaching credentials. In
addition to maintaining an ongoing research program, this faculty member would be expected to teach courses at both the undergraduate and
graduate levels, and to participate actively in departmental activities.
Successful candidates will have completed their Ph.D. degree in
Political Science by August 1, 2025.We encourage applications from all, including members of groups that are traditionally underrepresented
