Job Summary
The College of Coastal Georgia seeks qualified applicants for the part time applicant pool in the area of Political Science. This is an applicant pool for teaching in the School of Arts & Sciences. Applicants will be reviewed on an as-needed basis and hiring may occur up to the start date of a given semester
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities –
The successful candidate will teach Political Science courses (e.g., POLS 1101: American Government) contingent to the needs of the College. Essential duties include: maintaining office hours, preparing lesson plans, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams, and submission of final grades and attendance reports. The successful candidate must be able to teach face-to-face courses on our Brunswick campus.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- M.A. or related fields with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Political Science.
Required Experience
- Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level
- Evidence of professional development
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Political Science or related fields
Preferred Experience
- Experience teaching Introduction to American Government
- Successful online teaching experience
