advising students, and collaborating with faculty and administration to enhance educational outcomes and contribute to the overall mission
of the College.Reports to: Division Chair and/or Associate Vice President
- Job Duties
-
- Teach assigned classes following approved syllabi and competencies.
- Arrive on time or notify the division chairperson or
provost if unable to meet a class. - Schedule and maintain office hours as required by College District policy.
- Keep
necessary materials available for substitute instructors. - Assist with student advisement, counseling, and registration.
- Submit required grade reports to the registrar on schedule.
- Maintain accurate attendance records for all classes.
- Attend faculty meetings, commencements, and special meetings as called by administration.
- Inform administration of matters
affecting the welfare of students and faculty. - Serve on committees and participate in curriculum development, including
departmental learning outcomes. - Recommend library and instructional materials purchases.
- Perform other duties as assigned
by administration. - Teach at any TVCC campus or extension, including TDCJ and dual credit sites, using various instructional
delivery methods (ITV, online, hybrid, face-to-face).
- Qualifications

EDUCATION
REQUIRED:Hold a master’s degree in the teaching discipline;
OR: Hold a master’s degree
in any discipline, with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
College teaching
experience preferred, preferably at a Community CollegeExperience teaching Distance learning courses preferred
OTHER LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:
As required by assigned teaching discipline
