General Summary
Oversees daily operations, instructs, and supervises classes in the Department.
Specific Position Duties
1. Teach assigned courses in the curriculum; 2. Teach Web, Web-enhanced, and ITV classes as requested, using a variety of instructional technologies including Tegrity; 3. Teach collegeNow (Dual Credit) classes; 4. Assist with recruitment, advising, and retention activities as well as participate in various departmental and campus-wide committees; and 5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree with 18 or more graduate hours in Government from a regionally-accredited institution; Computer literacy; Demonstrated ability to teach students from a wide spectrum of ages and from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, including high school students who are enrolled in dual credit classes; Excellent communication and presentation skills; Excellent work ethic; and a Commitment to teaching excellence.
Work Hours: Varied according to schedule
