Job Description:

The Department of
Political Science invites applicants for an assistant professor position in Political Science with an emphasis on the Middle East starting
Fall 2026. The position is on a 2-year fixed-term contract. Teaching responsibilities include a combination of courses at the BA and MA
levels in Political Science, Comparative Politics of the Middle East, Introduction to Political Science, Research Methods, International
Politics of the Middle East, and Comparative Theory. Responsibilities include supervision of MA theses, teaching at the BA and MA levels,
and research and service to the department and the university.  The search committee is eager to receive applications from individuals
who demonstrate excellence in teaching and have an active research agenda.   Candidates with experience in and familiarity with
the North American higher educational system are preferred.



Requirements:

A PhD is required at the time
of appointment. Teaching experience is required. Candidates should have an ongoing research program and publications.
