DESCRIPTION:Inside the CUNY Graduate Center: A Dissertation Showcase\n\n\nA highlight of the academic year\, the Dissertation Showcase is a fun\, fast-paced event celebrating new research taking place within the CUNY Graduate Center community. Join us for the eighth annual showcase\, in which selected doctoral candidates make short presentations\, describing their dissertations in three minutes each. Our students share innovative scholarship — in language for a general audience — across the humanities\, social sciences\, and sciences. During the event\, a prize will be given to the student who does the best job communicating his or her research for the public\, chosen by a panel of judges\, and viewers will decide on the Audience Choice Award. Attend in person or online to hear fresh ideas and support our graduating students.
