This pivotal event represents an opportunity for members and advocates from our Brooklyn community to engage directly with state legislators on critical issues affecting Black Brooklynites. \nOur agenda centers the advancement of legislative priorities that reflect and support the goals and concerns of our community. The key issues include education equity\, justice reform\, economic development\, healthcare accessibility\, environtmental and climate justice; and voting rights\, among others. This is a day to make our voices heard\, share our stories\, and push for meaningful change. \nThroughout the day\, participants will have the chance to: \n\nMeet face-to-face with state legislators and their staff\nParticipate in advocacy training sessions led by experienced NAACP leaders\nNetwork with fellow NAACP members from across the state\nObserve legislative hearings and sessions\nEngage in discussions that shape our overall advocacy strategies\n\nThis event goes beyond lobbying — it’s about empowering our community\, informing our leaders about our priorities\, and forging lasting partnerships with policymakers.
