DESCRIPTION:Girls AND boys spend a day at UN Headquarters and participate in Camp United Nations for Youth.\n\n\nPRESIDENTS DAY HOLIDAY CAMP | Camp United Nations for Youth NYC 2026 and a Day at United Nations Headquarters is a two-day program that includes the activities outlined below. Girls and boys are introduced to the work of the United Nations\, diplomacy and global affairs. \nThis is a day-program with parents being responsible for accommodations and transportation of those traveling to NYC to participate; no financial assistance is available for this event. \nDay 1 – Conference Center (1pm to 5pm) \nCamp United Nations begins with a lesson on the history of the United Nations and the organization’s purpose. This is followed by a study of the structure\, leadership\, and the rules of procedure of the United Nations. Each student will be given an assignment to serve as a delegate for a UN Member State. When the General Assembly convenes delegates will propose a resolution. The resolution will be subject to negotiation and amendment by the UN Delegates before a vote on a final version of the resolution. \nDay 2 – United Nations Headquarters (9am to 4pm) \nUnited Nations Headquarters Tour \nUnited Nations Headquarters’ Exhibits \nLunch on site at Vienna Café \nUnited Nations Private Briefing \nVirtual Reality Experience \nFor additional information contact us at +1 866-277-2123 extension 1\, via email at info@girlsinpolitics.com or visit our website at www.girlsinpolitics.com. The meeting room space capacity can only accommodate students and staff. \nIs the registration fee refundable? The registration fee is non-refundable unless the organizer cancels the session. If a participant is unable to attend a session a credit will be placed on file that may be used at any time for a future program. The credit does not expire. \nIs this a partisan program or supported by a political party? No\, the Girls in Politics Initiative is an independent organization that is self-funded through the fees generated from hosting sessions. The curriculum is civic education. \nIs financial assistance available? Due to rising costs associated with hosting events\, there is no financial assistance available for this event and there is no promo code for this event. \nWho are the instructors? Our Lead Instructors are women that currently or have previously worked in government or electoral politics. Our support staff are current or former licensed teachers. All instructors and support staff undergo background screening. All instructors and support staff are also in compliance with any local ordinances or state/provincial regulations applicable to those working with children.

Black Women in Diplomacy & United Nations Headquarters Black History Tour is a one-day program that begins with a classroom lesson that celebrates the contributions of black women in U. S. diplomacy. Students will then visit the United Nations for a UN briefing and the United Nations’ Black History Tour. The following is a description of the United Nations Black History Tour. This is a day-program with parents being responsible for accommodations and transportation of those traveling to NYC to participate; no financial assistance or promo code is available for this event. Ticketing options for ages 9-11 and 12-17. Each age group is strictly limited to 18 students. \nThe Black History-themed Tour of the United Nations will grant students a unique look at the Ark of Return\, a permanent memorial in honor of the victims of slavery and the transatlantic slave trade\, located on the United Nations Visitors Plaza. The special tour will also include access to the Security Council Chamber\, the Trusteeship Council Chamber and the General Assembly Hall (meetings permitting). You will learn about the contribution of people of African descent to the work of the United Nations in fields such as peace and security and human rights\, with a special emphasis on decolonization.
