A two-day camp that includes a day at Westminster Palace and Camp Parliament for Girls London 2025.

Camp Parliament for Girls London 2025 ft a Day at the Palace of Westminster is a two-da event for girls. Camp begins with a day at Westminster Palace discovering the history and work of UK Parliament on a fun and informative tour. Your 90 minute tour in English includes the House of Commons, House of Lords and Westminster Hall. *The day culminates with guided tour of the Elizabeth Tower ascending a narrow 334-step spiral stairwell to the Belfry where Big Ben, the Great Bell, hangs.

On day two, students further examine the UK’s parliamentary system of government including the structure and history of Parliament. The lesson goes on to review the eligibility requirements to stand for office, a review of political parties, a study of the structure of elections and recognition of the UK’s female political leaders. Students will form political parties, create a campaign platform to stand for office, vote in an election and form a government to pass a law. Each student will serve as an MP. Please note that day two takes place at a hotel conference center with a classroom setup. *Subject to ticket availability.

This event is a day program, student will be picked up each day as there is no overnight accommodation. Ticket buyers traveling to London to attend this event are responsible for arranging accommodations. There is no block discount for hotel reservations available. This event is limited to 17 student participants. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this event a drop-off? All camps are drop-off unless parent participation is indicated. Parents may wait at the venue for the duration of the camp in any of the lounge or seating area throughout the hotel. The meeting room space capacity can only accommodate students and staff.

Is the registration fee refundable? The registration fee is non-refundable unless the organizer cancels the session. If a participant is unable to attend a session a credit will be placed on file that may be used at any time for a future program. The credit does not expire.

Is this a partisan program or supported by a political party? No, the Girls in Politics Initiative is an independent organization that is self-funded through the fees generated from hosting sessions. The curriculum is civic education.

Is financial assistance available? Due to rising costs associated with hosting events, there is no financial assistance available for this event and there is no promo code for this event.

Who are the instructors? Our Lead Instructors are women that currently or have previously worked in government or electoral politics. Our support staffers are current or former licensed teachers. All instructors and support staff undergo background screening. All instructors and support staff are also in compliance with any local ordinances or state/provincial regulations applicable to those working with children.
